Chief, External Beam Radiotherapy Service, Regional Care Network; Chief, Basking Ridge Radiation Oncology
I am a radiation oncologist who cares for people with a wide variety of cancers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Basking Ridge. I am particularly interested in treating tumors in challenging locations, including the brain, head and neck region, lung, gastrointestinal tract, prostate, and extremities. Working closely with our talented staff, I choose among various highly technical approaches to give each patient the best outcome. I see about 350 patients a year.
I originally set out to be a surgeon but developed an interest in radiation therapy during my training, when I took care of people with cancer. I’ve also always loved physics — maybe even more than biology! — so when I learned that radiation oncologists need to be physics experts, I switched into the field.
I have been involved with MSK’s locations in New Jersey since their inception. I’ve been a New Jersey resident for 25 years and love working at a facility where it’s easy to walk down the hall to collaborate with my colleagues. We’re just one part — though an important part — of a large institution, but I find the level of human interaction here really enhances patient care.
I also work closely with my colleagues throughout MSK to ensure that all treatments, clinical techniques, and strategies are aligned across all facilities. This ensures that no matter where our patients are treated, they receive the best care possible. We collaborate extensively in research and continuing education programs across all sites as well.
When I first meet patients, I try my best to explain the nature of their cancer and how radiation will be used in their care. I strive to give them confidence and a sense of security that they’ve come to the right place. I’m sincerely invested in my patients’ outcomes and cherish the many long-term relationships I have formed with them and their families over the years. I like to remind my patients that next to you and everybody who loves you, I’m the next person in line who wants to see that this treatment is successful.
In my spare time, I love skiing, hiking, camping, cooking, and spending time with my wonderful family.

Most major health insurers offer plans that include MSK as one of their in-network providers. If MSK is in-network, it means all our doctors are too. Medicaid and New York State Medicare also provide benefits for care at MSK.Learn more
