Marlon José Brewer, MD
Hospitalist
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Assistant Attending Physician
I am an internist who provides overnight care for hospitalized patients at Memorial Hospital.
My role involves managing a range of conditions, from pain and infections to complications related to cancer treatments, medications, or ongoing protocols. I work closely with patients who are receiving cancer care and address any urgent medical needs that arise during their stay and ensure continuity of care.
It is both an honor and a privilege to serve the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) community, and to support patients through their treatment journey with compassionate, comprehensive overnight care.
In additional to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about pancreatic cancer research. I’ve contributed to several projects exploring risk factors for pancreatic cancer. My work has highlighted significant metabolic changes that occur in the lead-up to cancer development.
As a bilingual and biracial physician, I am proud to offer culturally sensitive care to the diverse MSK community. My daily goal is to advocate for my patients both in and outside the hospital. I am also deeply committed to medical education and enjoy teaching residents during night shifts, where I engage in bedside teaching and guide them through complex clinical scenarios.
A hospitalist is a doctor with special training in caring for people in the hospital.
