Spinal and pelvic tumors are often structurally complex, and surgery can be challenging. For this reason, I have trained in both musculoskeletal oncology and spine surgery. I have extensive experience in managing complicated bone and muscle tumors, navigating intricate spinal anatomy, and performing durable spinal reconstruction. This allows me to provide my patients with the specialized care that these complex tumors require.

Technology plays a critical role in treating musculoskeletal cancers. Advances in real-time surgical navigation and postoperative radiation treatments enable us to target cancer with increased precision. We use the most up-to-date techniques in skeletal reconstruction. I work with a team of specialists, including radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, and interventional radiologists. Together, we ensure that our patients receive the most current treatment in each field. All of this combined means that patients are experiencing better functional outcomes than ever before.

I am deeply aware of the anxiety and uncertainty that patients and their families may feel when they receive a diagnosis of cancer. This is especially true for rare diagnoses, such as sarcoma and spinal tumors, for which they may not have been able to find much definitive information. I spend as much time as necessary with each patient and their family to ensure that they understand the specifics of their disease. Once everyone is comfortable with the information provided, we will work to create an optimal treatment plan based on their individual needs and goals.
