I am an internal medicine physician with special experience in oncologic emergencies, endocrinology, and metabolic abnormalities at MSK’s Urgent Care Center, which provides 24/7 emergency care for all of MSK’s patients. I also work with a team of doctors and nurses to manage patients in MSK’s CDU (Clinical Decision Unit), a new unit opened in 2013 designed to provide care for patients who may only require 24 to 48 hours of hospital care in an attempt to shorten a patient’s hospitalization.
In addition to my clinical work, I mentor and teach medical students and interns from Weill Cornell Medical College, coordinating and supervising their rotations in the Urgent Care Center. I also serve as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, teaching several classes on clinical case studies, critical thinking, cultural awareness, and forming the physician-patient relationship.
