I am a medical oncologist specializing in the care of genitourinary cancers, which include prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. I provide expert care to patients who have been admitted to Memorial Hospital at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK).

When patients receive a diagnosis of cancer, they often feel anxious and fearful about the path forward. I first assure my patients that they do not need to worry; together, we will identify the treatment plan that will not only get them the best results but that also aligns with their unique therapeutic needs and goals. I am passionate about providing patients at MSK with a care experience that makes them feel confident in the treatment that they are receiving, comfortable to ask any questions they might have, and well-educated about the options available to them. This enthusiasm extends from my individual interactions with patients to my leadership objectives when working with my inpatient team. I guide my team to work closely with long-term outpatient providers to optimize care.
My research focuses on the diverse and complex range of mechanisms that underpin drug resistance. I am particularly interested in how prostate cancer becomes resistant to next-generation inhibitors, such as enzalutamide (Xtandi®) and abiraterone (Zytiga). By understanding these biological processes, I hope to uncover novel targets and develop new therapies for prostate cancer.
As a physician and a scientist, I am deeply inspired by my patients’ grit, determination, and resilience. I am dedicated to providing my patients with the highest quality of clinical care, and I am equally committed to developing novel therapeutics that can help them lead better and longer lives.
A genitourinary (jeh-nih-toh-YOOR-ih-nayr-ee) oncologist is a cancer doctor with special training in the genitourinary (GU) system. This includes bladder, kidney, penis, prostate, and testicular cancers.
