What I Do at MSK

I am an integrative medicine specialist who is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases. In my clinical practice I equip my patients with knowledge and tools to enhance their health and well-being. I am particularly interested in finding new ways to utilize mind-body therapies to increase resilience and enhance quality of life in people with cancer and survivors — but also in health care providers.

When working with my patients, I consider all aspects of health, including nutrition, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. By accompanying people with cancer in all stages of disease and recovery, I strive to support conventional treatments by utilizing evidence-based approaches, including lifestyle changes, herbs and supplements, acupuncture, yoga, and massage. My goal is to guide patients safely through the plethora of information on complementary methods, ultimately helping them to avoid unnecessary risk of adverse effects or drug interactions.

My research interests include investigating the role of stress and stress reduction on symptoms control, susceptibility for infection, and tolerance to treatment.
