About Me

I am a medical oncologist who specializes in caring for women with all types of gynecologic cancer, including cervical cancer, uterine cancer, and ovarian cancer. I strive to support and guide my patients at every point in their cancer journey — from initial diagnosis through treatment and into follow-up care once their cancer is in remission. My practice is located at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan.

From early on in my career, I have been very interested in cancer research. I study endometrial cancer, specifically the genetic mutations that can be treated with targeted therapies. I am interested in determining whether a group of endometrial cancers that have many genetic mutations will respond to immunotherapy. I am also working to define the role of BRCA mutations and other defects in ovarian cancer, especially as they relate to treatment response or resistance to PARP inhibitor therapy.

I hope to impact the way the field thinks about treating cancer through my research. We need to shift from a one-size-fits-all approach to one that is tailored to an individual patient’s needs and the features of his or her specific tumor. For me, a career in research alone would not be complete without the ability to see patients, hear their life stories, and guide them through the challenges that come with having cancer. I count myself lucky to be able to pursue such a fulfilling career that marries my two passions of scientific research and patient care.

Most major health insurers offer plans that include MSK as one of their in-network providers. If MSK is in-network, it means all our doctors are too. Medicaid and New York State Medicare also provide benefits for care at MSK.
