I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering as a clinical nurse in 1988, working in various roles in the Division of Hematologic Oncology and the Special Care Unit.

When I became a nurse practitioner (NP) in 1995 I joined the Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Service. I was one of the first NPs on this service, and my responsibilities ranged from caring for individuals and their families during their hospital stay to collaborating with experts in other medical specialties such as the Renal, Infectious Diseases, and Neurology Services. I also consulted regularly with our experts in social work and respiratory therapy, among other areas.

I enjoy collaborating and seeking input from other services as it helps us render the best possible care for our patients.

After a break of two years at a Memorial Sloan Kettering outpatient cancer screening facility and several additional years working in primary care, I returned to the Adult BMT Service in 2013.

I have been a member of the Connecticut National Guard since 2003, and was deployed as a healthcare provider in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
