My career at Memorial Sloan Kettering began in 1987, when I started as a nurse on our Acute Care Inpatient Hematology Unit. I advanced to the Clinical Nurse Specialist role in 1993.

Six years later, I became the Unit Nurse Leader, and today am privileged to lead our incredibly talented and dedicated nursing professionals. I foster our nursing team’s collaborative relationship with the medical staff and the support services so vital to optimizing the delivery of care to our patients. I am also honored to supervise and mentor more than 80 team members.

Our nursing team supports and celebrates continued professional development through oncology certification and advancement through a robust clinical career ladder.

I have led our nursing team’s charge to ensure the continuity and quality of the care that we deliver. Our unit was selected to pilot the institution’s Nursing Care Delivery System for Primary Nursing designed to support the unique relationships we develop with our patients who have hematologic conditions. Our staff recognizes how critical the continuity of the nurse-patient relationship is to ensuring positive outcomes and patient satisfaction.
