Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center uses a multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of acoustic neuroma. Each patient benefits from the expertise of a team of specialists who work together to devise an individualized treatment plan.
State-of-the-art diagnostics combined with surgery and/or radiation therapy are used, when appropriate, to ensure that patients receive the most sophisticated care available. Our team treats 30 to 35 patients with this condition each year.
When a patient comes to our clinic, he or she can see several members of the treatment team — individually or as a group — on the same day. Our specialists hold regular team meetings to review treatment plans for all of our patients and determine the best way to approach more complex cases.
