The stage of lymphoma you have refers to how far the disease has spread through your body. Lymphoma that is in only one lymph node or organ is considered to be at an early stage. Lymphoma that has spread to several lymph nodes or organs is in an advanced stage.
Most people who come to us for treatment have advanced-stage lymphoma, which can still be treated and is even curable in many cases.
Imaging tests help us see the exact location of a lymphoma. They can also help doctors determine the stage of a cancer before treatment starts and help predict your response. Imaging often includes chest x-rays, CT scans, PET scans, and sometimes MRI.
