The Grants and Contracts Office, a unit of the Office of Research and Project Administration at Memorial Sloan Kettering, manages pre-award administration of research grants and contracts for staff and trainees who are funded by federal, state, and private agencies.
Our grants management team is focused on exploring funding opportunities tailored to the needs of the Memorial Sloan Kettering research community. We are available to investigators at all stages of their careers to assist in customized funding searches, provide resources for proposal development, and review proposals.
Staff members work closely with administrators and investigators to ensure that proposals and awards comply with both Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s policies and procedures and with the funding agencies’ instructions, guidelines, and regulations. To find your assigned grants management specialist, see the GMS Assignment Chart.
Our website provides up-to-date information about active funding opportunities and proposal development, including helpful grant-writing tips, forms and instructions, common information needed for grant applications, tools, and other useful links. We also host e-clinics, workshops, and seminars to help you develop grant-writing skills and experience.
Our website also offers a section designed specifically for postdoctoral fellows. This section offers FAQs about fellowships, policies and guidelines for SKI postdoctoral researcher appointments, and funding opportunity announcements for fellows.
Additionally, as funding agencies move from paper to electronic applications, you can find information about the National Institutes of Health’s electronic research administration (eRA) system, including Cayuse 424, the web application used to submit grants electronically, and Grants.gov, which helps researchers find and apply for federal grants. Our office also uses a web-based system called Grants Central, which does internal tracking in real time of MSKCC and SKI proposal submissions.
Please contact us to learn more about extramural funding opportunities and how our office can help make your research proposals successful. You can also review our proposal submission guidelines.
