Advancing Diversity and Inclusion in the Translational Research Workforce

Course Overview

This conference will provide a forum where faculty and attendees will engage in discussions and provide recommendations for developing and sustaining successful and productive careers in academic research.

Educational Objectives

  • Discuss Translational research opportunities throughout the research continuum.
  • Developing and sustaining successful and productive careers in academic research, through grant writing, publications, and mentoring relationships.
  • Networking opportunities with other research colleagues and pre/post doctoral students from multiple disciplines.


Abstract Submission

The SPARC 2014 Program Committee is pleased to invite the submission of abstracts for poster presentations. We welcome the submission of original scientific material as well as work previously presented at other scientific meetings. All abstracts will receive consideration by the scientific review committee for selection. Learn more about submitting an abstract.


Trainees, junior faculty, residents, fellows and senior graduate/medical students, particularly those who are traditionally underrepresented in academic research.
