The Brain Tumor Center is a collaboration of departments/programs across Memorial Sloan Kettering and Sloan Kettering Institute. It encompasses everyone that has the interest of clinical, translational and basic science research in brain tumors. This retreat will function as a forum in which we can disseminate current and new knowledge to refine physicians, researchers and medical professionals to attain the goal of better comprehensive clinical care and research.
At the end of the retreat, participants should have a basic knowledge of overall departmental research in at least six different departments and an in depth knowledge of at least six different cutting-edge research projects/advancements in brain tumors. Participants will learn about different granting agencies and what kind of science needs to be demonstrated in order to gain support for brain tumor research projects and enhance professional knowledge.
This course is directed towards physicians, brain tumor researchers, researcher fellow, RN’s, allied healthcare Professionals.
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
