This seminar will explore authorship and publication issues, such as authorship roles and order; avoiding plagiarism, duplicative publication, and ghostwriting; and declaring conflicts in publications. Additionally, the speakers will present the Journal’s perspective – how they select articles and how they detect publishing research misconduct; citing proper funding; and Public and/or Open Access (including federal and state PubMedCentral requirements). Aspects of the seminar will be interactive. This seminar may be used to make up missed Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) course hours for those attending the 2015 MSK RCR course.
This program is open to Tri-I community graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and administrators.
