Careers in Science Policy

Science Policy is an area of public policy that deals with the policies that affect the conduct of science and research in all fields and sectors. Science policy requires people who can understand and communicate with both scientists and the public. Careers in science policy are increasingly popular options for scientists and engineers and include opportunities to work in academia, government, or industry.

In this seminar, Tom Magaldi will discuss:

  • A variety of science policy careers
  • The types of fellowships that help explore those careers
  •  The opportunities students and postdocs should pursue to increase their chances of transitioning into the world of policy
