Educational and Performance Improvement Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the importance of clinical trials and list steps patients can take to make informed decisions
  • Understand the difference between the phases of clinical trials
  • Understand the ethical issues surrounding clinical trials
  • Sort out the myths from the facts about clinical trials and identify resources and support


This course is directed towards physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and social workers.


CME Credit

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
