In honor of National Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, Memorial Sloan Kettering is holding free skin cancer screenings.
Individuals at increased risk for skin cancer who are most likely to benefit from screening are those with the following:
- a family history of melanoma in two or more blood relatives;
- multiple atypical moles;
- or numerous actinic keratoses (precancerous lesions that are scaly patches of skin, gray to pink in color, on sun-exposed areas of the body).
This event is open to all.
