Meditation 201: is a six-week supportive program where you will learn a variety of meditation practices. Meditation is a self-care tool you can learn to reduce stress and anxiety, build resilience, improve the quality of your sleep, and be fully present.
Your mind-body teacher will provide guidance on learning one or more new meditation practice each week, including beginner’s mind, mindfulness of feeling tones, mindfulness of thoughts and emotions, “lovingkindness”, mindful communication, and a mindfulness retreat.
Discussions and lessons are led by a mind-body therapist certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction ™ (MBSR)
Time: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
This class is open to all patients, survivors, and caregivers of Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Meditation 201: Deepening Mindfulness follows practices introduced in MSK’s Meditation 101. If you have not completed the Meditation 101 course, but have your own regular meditation practice for at least two months, this could also be the course for you.
