This six-week guided workshop is built on the practices presented in MSK’s Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation classes. Our online program will offer a supportive community where people can connect about a shared experience from the comfort of home.
Together as a class, you will develop qualities to reduce stress, strengthen concentration, build resilience, bounce back from change, and improve every day well-being.
In Online Meditation: Deepening the Practice, the teacher will discuss these topics:
- deepening concentration
- awareness of breath and body sensations
- directing thoughts that arise during meditation
- showing yourself self-compassion and self-control
- maintaining attention throughout the day.
Time: 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm
This class is open to all people with cancer, including their caregivers and anyone who has completed treatment. We recommend this class for those who have taken our Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation workshops, or who have participated in a meditation class before.
