Educational Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Recognize advantages of a radioactive seed localized surgical procedure
- Begin to implement a breast radioactive seed localization program at participants’ institutions
- Understand how to perform radioactive seed placement, radioactive seed localized breast surgery, and radioactive seed tracking.
Audience
This course is directed towards radiologists, surgeons, pathologists, medical physicists, radiation safety officers, radiologic technologists, and pathology assistants.
