Description

Sleep is an important component of wellness. When you have trouble sleeping, you may feel frustrated, anxious, and more tired. You may also have difficulty concentrating. Meditation can help you to calm your mind and relax your body so that you sleep better.

In this workshop, an MSK nurse practitioner and sleep expert and an MSK mind-body therapist will discuss normal sleep patterns and, share habits that may impact your ability to sleep well. You will learn mind-body techniques to promote relaxation and help you to drift off to sleep.

Audience

This class is open to people who have been treated for cancer and their caregivers.

Location

This class is taught online through Zoom, a videoconference system. You will need to use:

  • A computer with a high-speed Internet connection, or a tablet, such as an iPad, or a smartphone
  • A webcam, speaker, and microphone. If you do not have a microphone and speaker, you can participate in the class by phone. You will receive the phone number once you register.
  • Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser
