Description
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been used in China for more than 2,000 years. Its interest in the West has steadily increased over recent decades. The core concepts of TCM emphasize the holistic, dynamic, and harmonious relationships between our body, mind, health, illness, and nature.
In this workshop, we will share a brief history of TCM, its important concepts, and its role in cancer management. You will learn daily lifestyle and self-care recommendations, based on TCM theory and scientific evidence. Finally, you will experience the TCM qigong practice called Eight Pieces of Brocade (BaDuanJian). Its gentle and easy movements can help preserve the strength and vitality of your body.
Audience: This series is open to people who have been treated for cancer and their caregivers.

What You Will Need
- Enough space to stretch your arms open to both sides
- Water to stay hydrated
- A computer with a high-speed Internet connection, or a tablet, such as an iPad, or a smartphone
- A webcam, speaker, and microphone. If you do not have a microphone and speaker, you can participate in the class by phone. You will receive the phone number once you register
- Google Chrome or Firefox as your internet browser
