This course is designed to give a current review of thoracic pathology with clinical and radiologic correlations. The course will run for two and one half days and will consist of a series of presentations with some multidisciplinary sessions regarding lung adenocarcinoma, interstitial lung disease and non-neoplastic lung disease in cancer patients. The new WHO Classification of Lung Tumors and ATS /ERS Classification of Idiopathic Interstitial Pneumonias will be presented. Most of the speakers will be expert lung pathologists, but there will also be clinical and radiologic presentations by well-known thoracic clinicians and radiologists. The presentations will illustrate the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to solving difficult problems in thoracic disease. For the Mystery Case Session on Sunday, a DVD with digitally scanned slides will be provided at the course.
