The following local and national not-for-profit organizations provide free psychosocial services to cancer survivors, family and friends:

  • Imerman Angels
    Imerman Angels provides personalized connections that enable one-on-one support among cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.
  • CancerCare
    This New York City based organization offers a number of services including online, telephone, and face-to-face support groups and education workshops.
  • Cancer Support Community
    The Wellness Community and Gilda’s Club joined in July 2009 to form the Cancer Support Community which offers psychosocial cancer support to cancer patients and survivors.
  • American Cancer Society (ACS)
    The ACS Cancer Survivor Network offers announcements, discussion boards, personal Web pages, and library resources especially for cancer survivors.
  • After Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD)
    ABCD provides free, personalized information and one-to-one support to people affected by breast cancer - patients, families and friends.
  • I’m Too Young For This
    Provides ’one-stop’ access to hard-to-find resources, peer support, and social networks for young adults affected by cancer.
