Receptor Mechanisms in Opioid Pharmacology (Course Code: PHARM-126)


The elective will entail the biochemical evaluation of opiate receptors and endogenous opioids within the central nervous system. Particular emphasis will be placed on relevancy of receptors and correlation with pharmacological actions.

Learning Objective

The objective is to learn laboratory approaches to problems and techniques and obtain a better understanding of opioid action.
