Established in 1970, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center School of Radiation Therapy is dedicated to preparing its students to become professional radiation therapists. The mission of the program is to prepare professional radiation therapists who demonstrate the highest quality of technical expertise; provide competent, compassionate clinical care in serving their patients; and collaborate effectively with their colleagues.

What Does Our Training Prepare You For?
Upon completion of our two-year program, our graduates are eligible to apply for the licensing examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (www.arrt.org) in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health. -

What Characteristics Make a Good Radiation Therapist?
To be a radiation therapist, you must be able to attain more than just academic and technical proficiency. You must possess the compassion and sensitivity necessary to provide for the physical and psychological comfort of the patient. You must be able to communicate effectively with your fellow health care professionals as well as the patients and their families. -
Curriculum
The academic year is divided into a fall, spring, and summer semester. During the fall and spring semester, students attend two days of classroom instruction and three days of clinical instructions. -
Tuition
Semester payments are due the first day of each successive semester of enrollment. -

The Memorial Sloan Kettering School of Radiation Therapy is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology and by the New York State Department of Health and The New Jersey Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners c/o NJDEP Bureau of X-ray Compliance. -
