General Surgery Residency Rotation

The Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center offers a one- to three-month elective rotation for general surgery residents interested in surgical oncology.

The resident rotation allows each resident to share responsibility for patient care; residents will participate in service rounds, conferences, and patient care procedures. The individual resident can choose to do rotations in the Breast, Colorectal, Gastric and Mixed Tumor, Head and Neck, Hepatobiliary, or Thoracic Services.

Memorial Sloan Kettering will provide a furnished rotator apartment for residents living outside of the New York City area depending on availability. Individuals who do not require housing are eligible for hospital parking. In addition, residents will receive meal tickets for nights they are on call.

Eligibility

Residents must at least be in their second postgraduate year and be enrolled in an accredited US general surgery residency program.

How to Apply

Interested residents should contact the Surgical Education Office for an application and additional information.
