The Society’s 2021–2022 Campaign

The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering has supported cancer research, patient care, and education at MSK for 75 years. The Society’s 2021–2022 campaign aims to accelerate progress in treating pancreatic cancer, which currently has a five-year survival rate of less than 10%. Christine Iacobuzio-Donahue, MD, PhD, Director of the David M. Rubenstein Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research and David M. Rubenstein Chair, is leading a team that investigates strategies to turn the disease into a manageable chronic condition and significantly extend survival. Through its research grants, The Society is helping shape a future in which every type of cancer can be understood and treated.

To learn more about The Society, please visit society.mskcc.org.

The Society of MSK is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to funding breakthrough discoveries that lead to novel treatments, educational programs that train young investigators, and patient-centered initiatives that improve care and ease the burdens cancer places on patients and their families.

Upcoming Events at MSK

Fred’s Team

No matter where you live, you can join MSK’s running program, Fred’s Team, to raise money for cancer research and clinical trials at MSK. Register for Fundraise Your Way and participate in any race, such as the 2021 Virtual TCS New York City Marathon, taking place October 23 to November 7, or organize your own event. Every dollar you raise will make a difference for people with cancer worldwide.

Since 1995, Fred’s Team has raised over $90 million to support critical areas of cancer research, including brain, breast, lung, and pediatric cancers. Visit fredsteam.org to learn more about ways to get involved.
