As you can see from the graphic above, we’re quite busy during the average three-day period at MSK. We’re constantly on the move, making sure we meet all our patients’ needs — from the physical (that’s a lot of meals!) to the emotional (nothing beats a Caring Canine) and everything in between. Our scientists are also working behind the scenes on treatment innovations to improve and extend our patients’ lives.
As you’ll learn from the new PBS documentary Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies, presented by esteemed filmmaker Ken Burns, the reality of cancer care has changed dramatically through the years. We’re proud of the contributions we’ve made as the world’s oldest and largest cancer center, and excited to play a major part in continuing to shape the future of the disease and in improving care for our patients, who are at the center of all we do.
Keep an eye out for the MSK experts featured in Emperor and know that while you watch, we’ll be hard at work!

I watched the last three programs. Am looking forward to tonights informative presentation. Last nights presentation spoke about immunuology treatment for melonoma featuring my doctor Jedd Wolchok, MD. I began in 2008 in a three year clinical trial at MSKCC with Implumulab . Have had four surgeries since, however I am currently free of melonoma my last CAT SCAN was good I return in six months. I would like to thank Doctor Wolchok and the staff and scientists who have put so much time and effort to fight this disease. I have the highest regard for the staff and doctors at MSKCC and their committment to the patients. Thank You Frank Viggiano, patient
I like the fact that 183 patients go home.
