I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering in 1992 as a clinical nurse caring for children and adults undergoing bone marrow transplantation. Upon becoming a nurse practitioner in 1998, I continued on the transplant service, focusing on the daily management of adult cancer patients through all phases of transplantation.

I became a Nurse Practitioner Coordinator in 2012. In this role, I am responsible for the management of nurse practitioners on the adult bone marrow transplant, leukemia and lymphoma/myeloma services in the inpatient setting. I work collaboratively with the medical and nursing administration to coordinate the care of patients on these units. I also continue to provide direct care to patients.

From 1998 to 2012, I facilitated a monthly orientation class for patients and their families, to educate them on the process of autologous stem cell transplantation. I also have been actively involved in a tele-medicine pilot, an innovative trial to test virtual technology that may make it possible to bring high-level transplant care to people in their homes.
