I am responsible for assisting oncologists throughout Memorial Sloan Kettering in the care of patients with blood-related disorders, diseases, and complications.
I began my career here in 1997, as a clinical nurse on the Adult Bone Marrow Transplant unit. After many wonderful years of working with these patients on an inpatient basis, in 2005 I had the opportunity to become an outpatient nurse practitioner and care for those undergoing autologous transplantation (when someone’s own cells are given back to oneself).

In 2011 I moved to the anticoagulation service, which is charged with helping to prevent additional blood clots, and then also started working for the service that cares for people with benign (noncancerous) blood disorders. I now have the unique opportunity to work with people who have blood (hematologic) issues as well as with those who are prone to developing blood clots while undergoing treatment for cancer.
I am active with professional organizations on the local and national levels, and from 2006 to 2011 was part of the International Myeloma Foundation ’s Nursing Leadership Board.
