I am an integral part of a team that prepares and helps to care for people undergoing bone marrow transplants at Memorial Sloan Kettering. We also care for people after their transplants and help with complications and addressing other illnesses they may have. Prior to joining the institution in 2012 I was a physician assistant in the medical intensive care unit at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. While there I had the opportunity to learn a lot about managing very complex cases, including the care of people with hematologic malignancies — many of whom had undergone bone marrow transplantation. Among other things, the experience provided me with the skills to quickly assess and intervene when patients become critically ill. In addition, I have experience in critical care cardiology based on my work at the cardiology and progressive care unit at Woodhull Medical Center. While working in both services I helped to manage the care of critically ill individuals, including some who had experienced acute myocardial infarction and heart failure. I am a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and New York State Society of Physician Assistants
