I have had an interest in health and science, and in working with people, since I was young. I knew in high school that I wanted to go into nursing.

As a nursing student at New York University I became interested in oncology and realized that Memorial Sloan Kettering would be the best place to start a career. I arrived in 2007, working as a registered nurse on the neurology-orthopaedic inpatient unit. I began in the intensive care unit in 2009 while studying for my Master of Science degree, then moved to the adult bone marrow transplant inpatient unit in 2011.

I work with a great staff. We care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and being re-admitted to the hospital for complications related to their transplants. I also work per diem as a nurse practitioner in areas of the hospital where we care for people with head and neck cancer, melanoma, and sarcoma.
