I was lucky enough to spend two months at Memorial Sloan Kettering as a physician assistant student, where I was greatly inspired by the brave patient population and the incredible minds of the medical and surgical staff.
Then, in 2013, I joined the adult bone marrow transplant team as a newly graduated physician assistant.
As a member of the transplant team, I work closely with doctors, other physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff to care for patients undergoing stem cell transplantation. My role includes seeing and examining inpatients on a daily basis, prescribing chemotherapy and other medications, performing bone marrow biopsies and aspirates, and participating in stem cell infusions.
I look forward to developing my career as an oncology physician assistant, and I feel there is no better place to learn and grow than at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
