The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has research internships in three areas:

  • Psychiatry

Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the various aspects of conducting research including but not limited to human subjects protection, study design, building a study database, data analysis, qualitative content coding, participant recruitment and retention, and systematic literature reviews. The student will have a final project which will be supervised and reviewed by the mentor. Students are encouraged to work with their faculty mentor on academic milestones (i.e., honors thesis, masters thesis, doctoral dissertation).

Additionally, interns will have an opportunity to learn about the field of Psycho-Oncology by attending Grand Rounds and other weekly didactic Seminars sponsored by the department. With approval of their mentor, interns can attend lectures, seminars and other events offered throughout MSK.
