The Neuro-Oncology Fellowship program offered by Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) is a United Counsel for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) accredited program. The time frame varies from between one to three years, depending on each fellow’s specific goals.   

Our fellowship training provides:

  • Unparalleled breadth of clinical experience in a broad range of central nervous system (CNS) malignancies including primary gliomas, CNS lymphoma, rare CNS tumors, secondary or metastatic tumors, leptomeningeal disease, and pediatric tumors.
  • Clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of neurological complications of cancer, including paraneoplastic syndromes, immunotherapy-related adverse events, and complications of novel CAR-T cell therapy.
  • Research opportunities in immunology, and basic and translational science at MSK, in our world-renowned research laboratories - the Human Oncology & Pathogenesis Program (HOPP), Sloan Kettering Institute (SKI), and the Tri-Institutional Therapeutics Discovery Institute (a partnership between MSK, Rockefeller University, and Weill Cornell Medical Center).
  • Expertise in clinical trial development. Our fellows receive training through the NIH-funded Clinical Research and Methodology Curriculum (CRMC).  Additionally, they participate in a protocol writing workshop and clinical research training dedicated didactics.
  • Access to K12 and T32 career development training grants.
  • Multi-disciplinary collaborations between leading experts in neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neuropathology, molecular pathology, radiation oncology and more.
