Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s residencies offer rich educational opportunities in an academic medical center dedicated to cancer research, patient care, and education. Our renowned Graduate Medical Education and other training programs prepare physicians for cancer care leadership roles around the world.

Our affiliations with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, The University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell Universities, Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University, Hospital for Special Surgery, and The Rockefeller University allow our students to participate in a world-class medical and scientific community.

Breast Surgery Resident Scholars Rotation
The Breast Service in the Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, has an intense training program in breast surgical oncology for surgery residents currently enrolled in approved training programs.
Dermatology Residency Rotation
This is a shared residency with the Department of Dermatology of the Sanford Weill College of Medicine of Cornell University.
General Surgery Residency Rotation
The Department of Surgery offers a one- to three-month elective for general surgery residents interested in surgical oncology.
Gynecological Brunschwig Rotating Residency
The Brunschwig Rotating Resident Program provides a one-month clinical and academic experience in gynecologic oncology for obstetrics and gynecology residents.
Interventional Radiology (IR) Residency - Independent
This is a standard ACGME-accredited track.
Medical Genetics Residency
The NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center jointly offer an ACGME-accredited two-year training program in Medical Genetics.
Medical Imaging Physics Residency
The Medical Imaging Physics Residency is a Hybrid 2+2 program in which a two-year grant-funded research project is followed by a two-year clinical residency in medical imaging physics. Individuals who wish to enter this program must have a PhD in medical physics, physics, or a closely allied field.
Nuclear Medicine Residency
This three-year program consists of rotations in various clinical subspecialties of nuclear medicine, including general nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, PET/CT imaging, and therapy, and has time allotted for research.
