Alexandra (Alex) Buga is a Licensing Manager in the Office of Technology Development. She manages the licensing of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s medical device technologies and aesthestics portfolio. She is also responsible for the administration of MSK’s Technology Development Fund (TDF). Additionally, she handles alliance management relating to the STARR Cancer Consortium’s Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF), and intellectual property management and onboarding of MSK participants in the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy (PICI).

She previously served in OTD as a Licensing Associate, Business Development Analyst, and as a Contract Analyst. Previously, she served as a contract analyst in the Office of Technology Development’s contracts unit. Alex did her undergrad at the College of the Holy Cross, double majoring in Chemistry and Classics with a concentration in pre-medical studies. She received a Master of Science degree in bioscience management and an MBA degree, both from Creighton University. She also holds a graduate certificate in Biomedical Device Development from New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Biomedical Engineering Department and a certificate in Alternative Investments from Harvard Business School.
