Federica Valsecchi

Federica Valsecchi, PhD, is the Office of Technology Development’s Project Management Lead, Immunotherapy. She joined MSK in 2019 as an Immunotherapy Project Manager as part of OTD’s Licensing unit.

Federica (Fede) previously worked as a Research Project Manager at the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research, where she supported collaborative research efforts involving multiple institutions. She is also the founder and chief science officer of the Nadia Valsecchi Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on pancreatic cancer research and patient care. 

Fede received her PhD in Mitochondrial Medicine, from the Department of Biochemistry and Pediatrics at Radboud University Nijmegen in The Netherlands.  She served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she studied the biological consequences of mitochondrial dysfunctions both in mitochondrial diseases and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Earlier, she received a Master’s degree from the Department of General Pathology at the Universita’ degli Studi di Pavia in Italy.
