Start Year

End Year

2009

I was born and raised in Washington, DC and went to Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School for high school. After graduating from University of Delaware in 2001, I moved to NYC and entered the Cornell/Rockefeller/Sloan Kettering Tri-Institutional MD-PhD program. After the first two years of med school, I started my PhD in the lab of Dr. Neal Rosen at Sloan Kettering. I defended my doctoral thesis in 2006 and graduated from Cornell Medical College in May of 2008.

In June 2009, I will start dermatology residency at NYU. MSKCC was my first choice for internship training because I wanted to see inpatient oncology first hand and have the opportunity to work with melanoma patients. Not only does this internship program expose you to oncology, but you have a diverse exposure to bread and butter internal medicine topics during your general medicine rotation as well as the outstanding didactic sessions led by internist attendings. MSKCC transitional year is providing me with a strong grounding in internal medicine that will serve me well in treating complex medical dermatology patients.
