I am a Social Work Manager at the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion with special training in cognitive behavioral therapy, meaning-centered psychotherapy, and palliative and end-of-life care. I have led the Social Work Department’s Talking with Children About Cancer program for nine years. I am also a member of the Social Work Department’s Antiracism Committee, as well as our New Hire Orientation program.

My research currently centers on supporting families when a parent has advanced cancer. To this end, I am the principal investigator on a study titled “Creating Communication Tools for Families: When a Patient Has Advanced Cancer.”

Outside of MSK, I serve as the Director-at-Large for the Association of Oncology Social Workers Special Interest Groups. Additionally, I have received accolades from the National Association of Social Workers and the Social Work Hospice and Palliative Care Network, including the Mid-Career Exemplary Leadership Award and Excellence in Clinical Practice awards, respectively.

I am presently enrolled in the Doctorate in Clinical Social Work program at New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and previously graduated from NYU with my master’s in social work in 2001.
