Science is a universal language that challenges reason, logic, and creativity. I have always been intrigued by the system and order that are inherent to science. I saw a PhD as a great opportunity to develop my scientific and professional skills and meet like-minded people with different ideas. Gerstner Sloan Kettering belongs to a great cancer biology institution and offers small classes and a tight-knit community. The straightforward curriculum also covers my interests — my research is on tumor immunology — and the numerous distractions in New York City are quite appealing!
