My research is focused on using cerebral organoids to model aspects of human cortical development in vitro. I am improving on our current protocols to generate organoids that more accurately and reliably recreate cortical development and organization. I’m particularly interested in using these improved models to discover the cellular processes and molecular pathways that become disrupted in complex neurodevelopmental disorders.
