I work with people being cared for by our LeukemiaGeriatrics, and Pain Close Care teams. I received a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University School of Social Work in 2015 and joined Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2019. I currently run staff and inpatient support groups, facilitate bereavement groups, and act as an Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) champion for leukemia patients admitted to the hospital. In addition, I help with education related to end-of-life planning, anticipatory grief, and caregiver stress and fatigue. I am particularly interested in researching how healthcare systems can better support adults and their caregivers in maintaining quality of life while facing serious illnesses. I have also worked in hospice and palliative care, specializing in end-of-life care in long-term care settings with the older adult population.
