Lee Stetson is an Assistant General Counsel in OTD’s Contracts Unit. He joined Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2016.
Lee’s practice area is clinical research contracts and compliance, which involves overseeing MSK’s clinical contracting portfolio. Specifically, he manages a team of four attorneys that negotiate and draft clinical research contracts, and he advises researchers and other members of MSK’s research administration on contractual and compliance-related matters relating to clinical research at the Institution.
Previously, Lee spent six years at Weill Cornell Medicine and The New York and Presbyterian Hospital, serving most recently as Assistant Director of Contracts and Compliance for the Institution’s Joint Clinical Trials Office. Earlier, he was Assistant General Counsel and Law Fellow at The City University of New York. During law school Lee served as an intern for Justice Doris Ling-Cohan in the New York County Supreme Court, and held an externship with Weill Cornell Medicine Office of University Counsel. Lee also has worked in the healthcare sector after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont in 2002, when he spent four years in a variety of administrative roles at Fletcher Allen Health Care, University of Vermont Medical Center.
Lee received his Juris Doctor degree from City University of New York School of Law in 2009. He was admitted to the Bar in New York, Second Department, in 2010, and to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in 2012.
