Yashodhara Dash

Yashodhara Dash is the Office of Technology Development’s Vice President of Technology Management and Commercialization. Yashodhara was appointed to this role in 2014, with responsibilities that include supervising OTD’s Life Sciences, Digital Health, and Product Development groups. She leads a team of 22 business development and product development professionals who work on managing MSK intellectual property, supporting the development and commercialization of MSK technology, and new company formation.

Previously, she was a Senior Licensing Manager, with responsibilities that included leading the Office’s Medical Device Initiative. She joined Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2007 as a Licensing Manager.

Yashodhara received her PhD degree in immunology from the University of Connecticut Health Center in 2007. Her educational background also includes an MBA degree from the University of Connecticut and an MBBS degree (with honors) from India’s SCB Medical College (an MBBS degree is equivalent to an MD degree).

Prior to joining Memorial Sloan Kettering, Yashodhara worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where she successfully identified a protein antigen that is involved in the immune response against filariasis and may be used to formulate a protective vaccine. In India, she worked as a pediatric resident and medical intern with major rotations in the medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and gynecology wards.

She earned the Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) designation in 2012.
