We are recruiting an Assistant Laboratory Member (faculty appointment on the research track for Memorial Hospital, within the Department of Medicine) to serve as the laboratory co-director for the Charles Rudin Lab (jointly appointed within Memorial Hospital and the Molecular Pharmacology Program within the Sloan Kettering Institute). Dr. Rudin serves as Chief of the Thoracic Medical Oncology Service in the Department of Medicine and Co-Director for the Druckenmiller Center for Lung Cancer Research.
As the senior member of the Rudin lab, lead research focused on understanding the genetic and epigenetic basis of lung cancer and developing targeted, biomarker-directed treatment paradigms. The Rudin Laboratory uses an array of tools including patient derived xenograft models of lung cancer, genomics, and genome-scale functional screening using CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing to allow for modeling and characterization of lung cancer, cancer drug pharmacology, and functional genomics.Your role will be to develop research tools and train laboratory personnel in their application to cancer research. You will also be responsible for the management of the patient-derived xenograft model repository for the Druckenmiller Center for Lung Cancer Research.
