Fiona and Stanley Druckenmiller Center for Lung Cancer Research
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY
The Jones laboratory, a multi-R01 funded research program, in conjunction with the Druckenmiller Center for Lung Cancer Research, is searching for an outstanding scientist with a strong interest in translational research focused on the biology of lung cancer metastases. The Jones laboratory focuses on transcriptomic and genomic drivers of lung and esophageal cancer metastases. Other projects in the laboratory include leveraging a large, genomically annotated patient-derived organoid program (lung cancer), A to I RNA editing in cancer, and identification of new genomic predictors of lung cancer recurrence, among others. We are seeking candidates with a strong molecular and tumor biology background with experience in lung cancer tumor biology, xenograft and transgenic animal models of metastases, and the biology of metastases. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with investigators with expertise in the biology of lung cancer, translational therapeutics, and molecular pathology.
PhD or equivalent in biological science is required. Proficiency with molecular biology, biochemistry, transgenic mice, gene expression arrays, DNA, RNA, and protein assays is required. Preferred applicants will have 3-4 years of experience at a minimum.
