Jennifer earned her MD degree from University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2006.  As a medical student, she discovered her passion for clinical hematology, which was further solidified later during her residency training in Internal Medicine in Waikato Hospital, New Zealand.  During her rotation in hematology-oncology wards, she realized the importance and the urgent need of advancing translational research in this field. Subsequently, she joined Dr. van den Brink’s laboratory as a MD fellow before committing herself to pursue PhD study in the Immunology & Microbial Pathogenesis Program through Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Her main research interests include: intrinsic and extrinsic regulators of hematopoiesis and lymphopoiesis, mechanisms underlying graft-versus-host disease, and strategies enhancing immune reconstitution and graft-versus-tumor activities.
